Some resin beads inspired me to some kind of sea theme in these two bracelets. Or at least that is what I myself come to think of.
In the first one those very large oval flat ones make me think of the kind of large grass that often grows right on the edge of water and land. I haven't managed to find out what it is called in English. But in Swedish it is called "vass".

Welcome to round 3 of the Stacked Earrings Challenge. We are 5 designer friends and bead nerds who take turns in sending each other a set of beads. (Rebecca Anderson, Leah Curtis, Claire Lockwood, Heidi Post and me Malin de Koning.) From the set we shall make earrings in the stacked style. At least three of the beads from the set shall be used in each pair. ... with beads from Claire Lockwood
In January I asked four jewelry designer friends (Rebecca Anderson, Leah Curtis, Claire Lockwood and Heidi Post) if they wanted to join me in a small stacked earrings challenge. The reason being simply because I was longing for some inspiration around stacked earrings. I wanted it to be a small and intimate kind of thing. If you want to Malin de Koninghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08479961009540756244noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3194085198721171579.post-37531834461086682802015-02-11T19:04:00.001+01:002015-02-11T19:04:06.191+01:00And more earringsA new Stacked Earrings Challenge reveal is coming up soon. This time the beads (really lovely ones) are picked by Claire Lockwood. The date isn't decided yet, but until then I am still making even more earrings on the side of the challenge. The reason why I am not making any other types of jewelry lately is basically that my studio and my work table is so unbelievably and incredibly messy, so Malin de Koninghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08479961009540756244noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3194085198721171579.post-57772450106849877852015-01-30T12:28:00.000+01:002017-01-02T12:25:37.421+01:00Stacked Earrings ChallengeI invited four dear friends in the international online beading community to join me in a Stacked Earrings Challenge. The reason being simply only a lust for an inspiration boost by some designers I really like.

Ok I know it's not emerald, not even the color is right. It's jade. But you have to admit the name works better with emeraldic than with jade-ic. If the jade is real or man-made I don't know. But I do guess man-made based on the prize and the fact that there are no imperfections at all. Real jade of that quality I assume would be much more expensive, but I am not 100% sure aboutMalin de Koninghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08479961009540756244noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3194085198721171579.post-4812803362625587302014-10-16T18:59:00.000+02:002014-10-16T18:59:24.625+02:00Three bracelets for fall-autumn

Jewelry making often creates storytelling for me.
Bracelet - Grey Squirrel
I remember when I bought this squirrel from HumbleBeads some years ago, together with it's brother/sister. I kind of imagined their whole journey from the US to Sweden. Seeing them leaving the house of Heather Powers, probably somewhat worried about what was going on and holding on to each other.
