Two summery bracelets

Summer has arrived with unusually warm temperatures here in Sweden. It's lovely, and all I wanna wear is clothes that keep me cool. Like white cotton or linen clothes. Long skirts and loose sitting tops. Sandals on my feet and a sunhat on my head. So I think some casual macrame bracelets to go with that outfit are needed. I've made two over the last couple of days. I love the casual feel of this style of jewelry.

No 1.
Thin thin nylon cord in a light kaki color.
Brown/goldy sidedrilled cylindrical bead in polymer clay by myself.
Ceramic beads by Elaine Ray. One fern colored and one light blue.
Czech glass beads in various colors and shapes.
Brass beads.
Howlite flat egg shaped bead.
Bone round bead.

No.2
Light grey waxed cotton string.
A green ceramic rose and a tan round bead by Gaea.
Yellow lampwork spacer bead by Genea. I loooove the color on that one.
Tan macaroni bead by Elaine Ray.
Czech glass.
Brassy round beads with an eye/leaf pattern.

Check out this great tutorial from Ornamentea on a really clever and easy way to do macrame. I would like to call it 'free-hand macramé'. No board is needed, no clips, no pins, no extra things apart from the string and the beads. You can sit anywhere doing this.

Lori, it's easy! Only the beginning that is a bit fiddly. But after only two knots you are on safe ground. I'm gonna teach my kiddywinks. You should do it with Zach, he's such a creative fellow. :-)

Ooh, fun! Is that a sliding closure? I've always wondered how to do those. I'll be checking out that tutorial :)

They are perfect for summer! We are 103F/39C for the rest of the week. Usually it feels like a jungle here, but we are having a drought and only about 30% humidity (usually we are closer to 80%). I better whip up a batch of those bracelets to go with my linen outfits.

Gorgeous! I love that light colored cording with the fresh colored beads! Perfect for summer! I love the adjustable pulls with the macrame as well. Very cool! Thanks for the "shout-out"!

Those bracelets are so light and pretty! I'm going to check out the tutorial too. I've wanted to try more cording in jewelry, but I'm worried about taking care of it properly. I am very hard on my own jewelry.

Love these bracelets! I just bought some of those czech glass flower discs myself! You combined them with some lovely colors, as usual!

So pretty and summery! Don't know what's happened to our summer in the UK at the moment though - think we may have had it in April!
Thanks for the link to the tutorial.
