Ring - Going To the Art Gallery

Made this ring yesterday. I named it "Going To the Art Gallery". It's the opening day, and you walk around there looking at paintings whilst sipping on your white wine. Of course you need a large ring, a boho chic looking one. Black ceramic disk by RoundRabbit, green ceramic disk, dark ceramic round by Gaea, brass wire, black fiber/yarn.

I was inspired by the works of Maire Dodd and Amanda Davie.

That is really too cool! I went to an art museum last night and can definitely say this captures that feel absolutely. There's some Kandinsky in there, and Calder and Pollock. :) It's awesome that you shared the design inspiration pictures, too. Your ring turned out so different from those other ones, but you can see the elements they all have in common. I love that about handmade jewelry. The possibilities truly are limitless.

Hope to see more of your rings!

Fun! I like the idea of a big boho chic ring for an art gallery opening. How appropriate and stylish. I can just see you wearing it...gazing at art and sipping wine. Of course, when you wear stylish rings you have to pose your hands to draw attention to the fabulosity of the ring. ;-) Artists are good at posing. Did you pose?

p.s. I like the wildness of the fiber. It has a very "come here and look at me closer" appeal to it! Fab!
