I won a prize - BSBP7

The fantastic Bead Soup Blog Party. The big international and annual beading event arranged by wonderful Lori Anderson of PrettyThingsBlog. All the reveals for the 7th one, were back in April. And then in May Lori announced the winners. That was a new feature for this year, the chance to win prizes also, and you can read all about it in this post on Lori's blog. 46 winners were chosen by 7 judges, and from more than 900 contributing jewelry pieces.

I am so proud and honoured to announce that I won the category "Judges Choice" by NinaDesigns (it was a tie between me and another designer, NinaDesigns couldn't pick just one).

Here's a close up of the linen cording, the beads and the knotting.

On Pinterest you can see pictures of all the contributions on a special Pinterest board, and here's the link. So much eye candy there for you to see. So many beautiful and inspiring pieces.

And if you want to read my own reveal post again, and see the other things I designed for the party, you can check out this link.

A couple of weeks ago I recieved my prize beads from NinaDesigns, with a couple of extra bonus charms thrown in there by Lori (thank you so much!!!). The Nina beads and the pendant are Sterling Silver. And I absolutely adore them. The whole thing is really a giant bonus. To win some wonderful beads just like that :-). Thank you so much NinaDesigns!!!

I am also very happy (and proud) that my partner Agi Kiss of MoonSafariBeads also won. With pieces she had made from the lot (the soup) I had sent to her. She won 2 - TWO - of the categories. Wow! Congratulations Agi!

All my best,
Malin

Featured in The Beading Glass

Leah Curtis of Beady Eyed Bunny is a talented jewellery artist. And she also is the creator and maker of a great and very professional monthly digital/online magazine about bead and jewellery artists.
It's packed with inspiring things. And it's for free! How utterly generous.

The latest issue, features an article/interview about me among a lot of other stuff. All very inspiring. So head on over now and read and look. Below are just representation photos because I am so honored and proud.

Hope you enjoy!

4 more bracelets of June 2013

I am going through a very productive period when it comes to making jewelry. It seems the designs comes to me so easily, and with such pleasure and joy. I just love it, and it is fun fun fun all the time. Very satisfying. If anything holds me back it is a lack of time and mainly an ability to work undisturbed during the day. It is just one of those periods. And I AM frustrated about it.  But still, I find I am very much into the actual designing and making of the jewelry pieces, whereas the rest of it I find quite a bit less fun. I am talking about taking photos, blogging, listing on Etsy and such things. It's like once I have finished one piece all I want to do is to make a new other one. I really wish I could have an assistant that could take care of the rest of the work on my behalf. I constantly miss the deadline dates for submissions to various magazines. So hence I hardly take part in any such things since a little while back. I do wish to be more active in that field of course, but it is like it is at the moment. Anyway, today I show you 4 new bracelets that I made during June. Hope you enjoy! :-)
