Hello there! Hope you haven't missed I am having a giveaway. There is still time to participate and have a chance to win. Please have a go! It is a nice and fun collection of odd beads from my own beadstash that YOU can win. A giveaway to celebrate all followers of my blog and also my birthday, which was last week.
There is a mixture of:
- high & low
- expensive & inexpensive
- exclusive materials & "simple" ones
- gemstones
- coral
- porcelain
- glass
- clay
- resin
- lucite
- ceramic
- lampwork
- metalized acrylic
- carved acrylic
- wood
- brass
- copper
- pewter
- bone
- nuts
- seeds
- czech
- indian
- german
- african
- trade beads
- matte
- shiny
- facetted
- classic geometric shapes
- fun fantasy shapes
- stripy
- dotty
- chequered
- plain colour
- and so on ....
The thing is that there is only ONE of each bead. But on the other hand very many different ones. I haven't weighed them yet, but I estimate the weight to be just under 1 pound or about 0,8kg. (I compared to a litre of milk just now ...)
So what do you need to do to have a chance to win? I wished to try something different, so ...
- You have to be a follower of my blog, so if you are not yet sign up now!
- Write a comment on this post, AND ...
- ... give me a beading tip in that comment. Something you believe would be useful for ME. Just anything - a great shop, a clever technique, a fun class, a book I should look at, some beautiful beads I should discover, tools, tips on blogging ...
I will be compiling a list of the ten top tips. Top ten for ME that is! And I will present that list here on my blog. The person who gave me tip number ONE will be the winner of the giveaway. It is all very subjective, isn't it!
The last day for leaving a comment and have a chance to win is on Wednesday the 7th of July (one week after my birthday). And I will present the list and the winner on Thursday the 8th of July.
Please go on, have a go now! :-) I have already recieved some of very nice, good and entertaining tips, but there is plenty of room for more. (I will combine the answers from all the posts I made on the subject).

That just looks like so much fun. I'd love to make a cha-cha bracelet out of a on of it!
Happy Belated Birthday! Hope your day was a great one. I'm a really new follower but couldn't resist trying for your giveaway - you're being wonderfully generous with your beads.
It's been really tough to think of a bead tip to share that you don't probably already know. But I guess I'll share this:- see-through plastic take-away food containers are great for storing beads and findings. To separate the materials, just stick some cut-to-size cardboard or hard paper into the containers so you have separate compartments. It may not be as attractive as ready-made bead boxes but I like that it helps me save money and prevent wastage. Hope the tip was helpful :-)
